1) How did you decide to start making music, and chose to go solo with it? When I was 4 years old I sang in church and took piano lessons. As I got older, music continued to be a part of my life, but I thought I was going to be a professional basketball player. One day, during my senior year of high school, I woke up and decided I had too much love for music to not pursue it. I taught myself guitar and started writing songs of my own and within a couple of months I was playing solo gigs and shows on the weekend which solidified my love for performing. 2) Do you plan to release any more music in the rest of 2018? I am working on my first EP release and plan to release two singles off of it. If everything goes as planned, I will release the first single in August and the second in September. The EP will be released in October. 3) What do you want to achieve as a solo artist by the end of 2018? I want to gain more fans and grow closer with the base I already have! I’m aiming big with goals of playing small stages at music festival such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Summerfest to name a few. Setting goals that scare me is very important to where I want to go with my career. I want to be the artist that has talent and work ethic that lasts. 4) Who inspires you most? My parents inspire me every day, no question. When it comes to artistry two of my big inspirations are Stevie Wonder and Ed Sheeran. Stevie has written timeless music, and anyone can tell he’s in love with the fact that he gets to play music whenever he performs. Ed is a songwriting machine. There are few people in this industry with as many cuts and hits as Ed Sheeran. 5) How would you describe your sound in three words? Pop, groove, smooth. 6) Your newest single “Little White Lies” just came out in January, is there anything you’d like to say about it? It has been incredible to be able to write this song with artist Matt Sperrazza and have the opportunity to produce the single myself. So far, we have received a lot of love and we can’t thank our fans enough for streaming our music! 7) What is your favorite thing about being able to release music? I love that I have the opportunity to entertain people. Someone can listen to my music halfway across the world, relate to my lyrics and feel my melodies. I think that’s amazing. 8) What is your dream venue to play? I would probably throw up and die if I had the opportunity to play Madison Square Garden or Wembley Stadium. 9) If you could tour with any other 2 bands in the world, who would they be and why? I would love the opportunity to tour with either John Mayer or Post Malone. I feel like I’d get along with both of them really well honestly. Plus, I am a huge fan of their music. 10) Thank you for doing this! Anything to add? A huge thank you to Local Focus for doing this write up! You guys rock!
