2023
After a year long hiatus, Local Focus is making its comeback in 2023 and I couldn’t be more excited! COVID in 2020/2021 shut down all concerts and pretty much all social aspects of life, LF was left with little to work with. The virus had a big impact on everyone and it really was a pivotal time in my life with graduating, learning lessons through the relationships I built with people, and figuring out life.
I’ve been running this company entirely alone with the help of some incredibly talented photographers and my amazing “mom-ager” since I was 14. Local Focus is now 6 years old and I’m 20 now. That’s a wild time of transition and learning, and after a short break, it is coming back strong.
While maintaining a professional aspect on this platform, LF will be transferring to a more personal and relatable company, making it more fun overall. Change is necessary and I have a long way to go but we’ll get there when we do. There is a lot in store for 2023 and I can’t wait to share it with all of you. To those who have stuck with me, thank you forever, and to those who are new, welcome!

Hi! My name is Katie and I'm the Founder and Editor for Local Focus Magazine. I'm 20 from Colorado, and I've been working on this since 2016! While music is one of my passions, I don't have a single bit of musical talent in my body. So what better way to get involved? I like all genres of music, alternative is my favorite though. I've seen over 400 concerts since 2011 and can't wait to watch that number grow. Music brings us all together, and with the past few years we've had, we need it now more than ever.
